Parentingfromthetrenches.com was started by Julie Butler Evans, a New Canaan mother of 
four kids, ages 15 to 27. Julie was the founding editor-publisher of Connecticut's County Kids magazine, a statewide parenting publication. Since 2004, she has been writing the parenting column for the New Canaan Advertiser, also entitled "Parenting from the Trenches." Additionally, she is the author of a compilation of said columns: Parenting from the Trenches: Anecdotes from the Front Lines of Child Rearing."
